Ideal Toy Corp. (1951-1952) Rare
Early Issue 22"Saucy Walker Doll This
doll walks like a dream. Dr. Hubby
never lets them go until they do walk
like a new doll.
Comes with a
new Kaiser Doll stand, replica hang tag,
and her own original box, two pairs of
vintage original shoes and one pair of
expensive custom made duplicate shoes,
Two vintage dresses, the one we bought
her in and the other one is an original
of an Early Issue 22" Saucy Walker
Doll dress shown on the Hang tags.
Her hair is almost black, extremely rare
and she has dark blue eyes. She is all
original body and face with no painting,
just light sanding to bring out the
softness in her surface and her arms
have been re-strung with our surgical
elastic cord tubing and her head is
attached with a metal rod instead of the
band as Early Issue Saucy Walkers all
had the metal rod connection at first.
Dr. Hubby mentioned that she was the
cleanest older doll he has ever seen on
the inside. Her
Crier works very Loud and often!!
HA!
I felt bad the whole time we worked on
her and kept saying Awwwww. So sad.
One of her dresses with
the bonnet and the wrist ornament was
what was on her when we purchased her.
It seems to have fit her alright but
Lois, our seamstress (toniwear@aol.com)thought it to
be too large possibly and we decided to
have Lois make her a duplicate of the
original Early 22" Saucy Walker
dress as you see her wearing. The
replica dress is made out of gorgeous
material. Look closely at the
photos. The original dress came with
panties which came on all of the earlier
22" Saucy Walkers instead of
Onesie's. She has a replica Onesie
under the white dress however. The
original panties need elastic on them.
Both dresses need a little bit of iron
on tape so we will leave that up to her
new Mommy. The pink vinyl shoes
was on her as well. The custom
made shoes are created by the best Doll

As you can see this
doll's original box still has the
inserts for the head and the feet and
the original tissue paper. It is so
clean, I have never seen one that looks
that new. The reason I am placing
everything she came with on the side in
this sale is because I am thinking since
the box is so new and the doll was so
very clean, someone out there who had to
give her up may want her back and will
recognize her immediately. They
had to have taken such good care of her.
A few of her hair strand from the
factory are thick as if the machine did
not split them into smaller strands.
I have left those on there and have a
photo of one of them. Her wig is
in excellent condition to be
approximately 58 years old. Since
her box is so clean and shows the vinyl
shoes on the front, I am under the
determination that Ideal had a few of
these Early Issue 1951 dolls left over
and placed the vinyl shoes on the doll
possibly, only a guess. Somewhere in the
back of my first thoughts is that this
doll belonged to one of the Factory
workers or even the Ideal family because
she was so different. I have yet
to see hair that dark on a 22"
Saucy Walker.
Her eyes have been
polished and are excellent like factory
installed almost. We applied our
preventative platforms to keep them from
ever sinking nor rolling and they slide
from side to side so very easily.
