BEFORE

RESTORATION
Here she is in braids and curlers. I have the new refreshed braids rubber band in the front temp.  This is before her shadowing and blushing makeup. Her eyes polished and offset a bit because she is laying down for you to see her teeth which are perfect.  Her left eye is fine and will be perfect when we are completed with her. Dr. Hubby noticed that she has been painted before and he is working on her now.  Above photo shows her after he sanded her.  Very soft look.  He wanted me to ask you if you really want her painted.  She is sanded and has a very soft look to her as we actually like the soft look better.  Too shiny gives the aging look.  Our satin paint is nice but remember, it lowers the value on vintage dolls.
The history on the 16" dolls was that their arms were on most a lighter color as yours are.  They would replace arms on the 16" dolls as there were problems with that size and the arms originally and that is why they are lighter.  She has been painted before so that tells me she was sent to possibly the Ideal Repair shop. Her original blushing on her hand needs to be repainted as Ideal painted the dolls red under the Saucy Walker color to make the blushing on the face and knees and hands. This is why you see the red on the wrist.  We can Air brush just the arms to match and then re-blush or we can paint the entire doll.  Please let us know.

New dress still packaged in unopened box from Lois.  I never have to check her dresses, they are always perfect.  Box will be open the day I dress her soon.  Looking forward to hair miracle on bangs now.  Her teeth show, Camera was aimed down on her so no she did not have teeth pulled today, hahahahahahahahaha

Look at all my dolls behind her waiting for meeeeeeeee.  One is a Reliable gorgeous walker looks like an Ideal Saucy with a Canada newspaper ad to go with her and one day a replica dress like the one in the ad...and the other is a Rita doll with a vinyl face.  Going to have a replica bride dress made for her one of these days.  I think she is 25" tall.

She is leaning to the left and the little right eye wants to move with the weight in the eye mechanism. HA!  I went over there and straightened her up and eye is fine. See tiny trace of original lashes.  Get glasses on..!  Original also means a child played with this doll.  Stuff like that just proves it.  Her once pretended lil spirit is alive again through us and you. Traces of the past 50 years still remains.  How bout them cheeks?  We sprayed a clear satin sealer over them now.  Doing that these days to preserve them. She has gorgeous eye lashes.
