| We have applied glue in the
cracks and new plastic compound inside the body to
secure each split. She is drying now and we
will be sanding her and we have decided to paint her
entirely to make her look fresh and not so much like
a patched doll. (No added fees). We just want
her to be as perfect as we can get her. Our
paint is a special blend satin Saucy Walker Color
and will be beautiful. The patch on the top in
the photo will be sanded down before we paint. |
|
We have her in pieces and
sanitized and will be repairing the eyes, then
applying the blushing, shadow and lip and tongue
colors. I am so anxious to see her
finished. She will be a beauty. Her hips
will be stronger than the original because of all
the thick plastic compound that has been added on
the inside of each broken part.. She will walk
like a dream. Check back again in a few days,
we should have more photos this weekend. |

The shop's lighting
makes the shadow and blushing look darker than what
it really is because the photos were taken at night
time. Waiting for the paint to dry then the
red lips back to the original look. Teeth are
covered to keep the base paint off of them.
Eyes were cleaned and our preventative sponges put
in place to prevent rolling and sinking and crossing
of the eyes. She will look more like the Saucy
you got when little when we get the mouth
painted. The blush color we use was blended
custom for our Saucy Walkers. (Red Orange) You will
not recognize this doll when you get her back but
there is enough on her torso to remind you that she
is absolutely your very doll. (Tiny lines where the
hips were broken. Hard to see, so you will
need to look really close to find the lines.)

The knees will be
re-blushed tomorrow and the lips painted. Dr.
Hubby needs to make the knees more of a round
blushing. Saucy Walkers were sold with
blushing only on their cheeks, the back of their
hands and their knees. (Never their tummy or
anywhere on the torso.) The blushing always
looks darker in the photos than it really is in the
real. She still has her original eyebrows and
painted on lashes below her eyes. You cannot
tell she has been re-done in the real. Her
body is gorgeous....Amazingly so.

This is 10/17
And Dr. Hubby re-blushed her knees and put her
together. Can you believe this is the same
doll? Look above her right leg, you cannot see
all those cracks any more. Amazing what the man can
do!! You cannot even see the broken hips on
the side except for a tiny tiny indent of a line on
one side, barely visible just enough to prove that
she is your doll. (giggle)
My daughter will be
applying another new coat of paint to her
mouth. I did the one above but she will need
to outline them for perfection. Hang in there,
we are working to send her soon but we just want her
perfect before we do. God Bless.
