Donna's Twin Ideal 16" Saucy Walker Dolls From The 1950's

We have restyled their hair into twin ringlets, we have taken the walking mechanism apart on both dolls and restoring them to like-new.  We have sanded them lightly and  also put blushing on the knees and the back of the hands.  Lois, our expert replica doll clothing seamstress (toniwear@aol.com) has made their little dresses to match.  We have applied the "stiffened for display" bows in their hair.  They have brand new Kaiser Doll stands and replica hang tags.

Both faces have good original blushing,  We decided that we will make the eye shadow alike on each doll however. The hair looks darker on the one doll but they have the same color and will make adorable twins with ringlets.  The doll that has the braids was originally sold with ringlets as was the second doll. There is no seam down the back of the wig on either doll.
The doll on the left has no crier box inside of her.  She was either sold this way or someone has removed it.

Here is Doctor Hubby at work and finished.  Both dolls have been sanded to that soft plastic look and both walk perfectly because Dr. Hubby took them completely apart and remolded warped areas. Hands and Knees blushed. Waiting on their new Kaiser Doll stands to get here now and for me to wash and curl the hair and then later for Dr. Hubby to put the  eye shadow on each one identically.  Will update you soon. Taking a break at present. HA!
Took a while but I finally matched the shorter hair on each doll to resemble one another...looked like a lil child got ahold of them before we started...hum?. D-1 has original blushing and stood up to our normal washing but D-2 scared the living Bees out of me when her blushing started to streak. HA! Wonder who that someone is that put blushing on her lately?  Hum?  HA!  Anyway, Both will be undergoing eye shadow tomorrow and D-2 wil be getting real paint on her cheeks to match the D-1 twin's original light blushing.  Eyes have been washed and polished.  D-2 will not look cross-eyed when we are finished.  Lips and tongues have been cleaned well and have a painted on clear, shiny sheen to them now also. Bodies are marked D-1 and D-2 also.  Don't want to get them mixed up.
