Liz's 22" 1950's Ideal Saucy
Walker Doll "Logo Duplicate" In Process
We are thrilled with this doll for
several reasons. She has original eyelashes that
Liz has ordered for her to have, however, since our
business opened the doors, we have NEVER once
seen eye lashes on a Saucy Walker like this one has
that is done correctly until now. Inside the eye
globe the lashes on so many are shortened unnecessarily
because the factory worker has pushed most of the eye
lashes too far up in the globe. The way we see
it is whomever it was that was working in the factory
that day applied the doll's eyelashes correctly, not
like most who did not do the same. The reason
these eye lashes were done this way and why they are so important is
because they keep the eyes from rolling upward.
As you are aware Saucy Walkers are known for having
rolled up eyes after 56 years of hard play. This
doll was not suffering from ANY eye problems at
all. We did not have to do eye repair on her,
meaning that the eyes are still clamped inside from
the factory. However we did polish the eyes and added the addition features that
we always do for preventive measures inside her head
only. What a pleasure she was to work with in
her restoration. Another reason that we
enjoyed working with her is because of her walking
mechanism. Oh what a joy she is to walk after
Dr. Hubby finished with her. He gave this doll
the very best of his expertise and all one needs to do
is barely hold her hand to walk her. If I
enjoyed the collection of dolls, I suppose I would
have kept her. However, because I do not have the
collector's heart, I feel Liz is a very blessed lady
to own this rare and precious doll as she does.
I only PRAY that we run across many more of these
dolls with eye lashes such as hers. We will be
adding her finishing photos within a week or so.
The photos will tell the story: To Go Back To The
