Testimonial
Dear
sheryl500, Hi
Sheryl: I had to email and let you know my son, Michael, just gave me
two of the prettiest dolls I've ever seen. They arrived in
perfect condition in the nicest packaging ever to come my way.
They
are going to be the centerpiece of my collection. They are
even nicer than one I have that is considered 'mint'. If you
ever need a testimonial I would be more than happy to do so.
Michael will leave POSITIVE feedback and we both wish you a
Happy New Year and all the best for 2009.
God
Bless.
Donna and Michael

Hello
Sheryl, I have just received my doll.
She is so beautiful! The packaging is just great.
This is the first time since I have been buying on Ebay, that
I have received a package like this one!
I
am saving my money to purchase another doll to add to my
collection and will be looking forward to buy from you again.
Thank
you so much for a great transaction.

DESCRIPTION:
Her
eyes are so irresistible. Because of the recessed Iris
it appears as though she is following you around the
room. She has the straight legs and arms instead of the
earlier ones with the jointed legs and arms. I thought
at first she was the 1961 doll, however it was the 1960
doll that had the Mama Voice and she does. I need
to confess, when I received her she would use that crier
quite well. I am always welcoming dolls that still
have criers after 50 years or more. Well....As you
will see below, her vinyl turned to the darker side and
she is two toned. I did some good after soaking her for
hours, it seemed to have brought back the correct color
on her tush a bit. and her legs became a little
lighter. I have this feeling we splashed around
too much today and her crier might have gotten
wet. I know it did and I am hoping it will
eventually dry out and she will start the crying
again. The crier has Pat. Pending on it.
I
knew the coloring would not hinder her display so I
ended the soaking session after a few hours. We make the
dolls ready for display and that is what we have done
successfully with her. Adorable doll. She is
squeaky clean from her head to her toes. Her hair
has been shampooed and conditioned. It is Saran
(plastic) hair that does very well with
conditioner. To me it is easier to manage.
Her curls are original and I did not find that a child
had cut her hair and from what I can tell, she has most,
if not all of her plugs. Now I have been in this
business long enough to know that this type of hair has
a few missing strands somewhere, I just have not seen
any so far.
All
that you see her wearing is brand new. Her ribbons
are double sided satin and stiffened for display. The
little purple (lavender) dress she has on is made from a
waffle material. The little outfit with matching
panties could not be any cuter. The seamstress's
name is Maureen...I am sure she won't mind me sharing
her contact information with you. If you should
need an outfit like this or possibly a Tiny Tears outfit
contact her: freedom5555@msn.com
I am sure she can make whatever you need.
Her
little shoes are new as well and her tights. We
have included a vintage 1950's Evenflo Glass Doll bottle
as you can see in the photos. We are also including the
clothing she came to us in and they are nearly new as
well. I really love the bonnet. I saw that a
few of these dolls had bows in their hair so I chose to
put the white bow in hers. The bonnet has a pink
satin ribbon instead of lavender in it.
As
you can see her lashes are very full and very
long. Her eyes are clear for fifty years old (49)
and very noticeable in the real...All eyes. I love
their eyes. Her blushing was still on her cheeks
and we ever so lightly tapped it with our paint re-born
blushing and it is the same color and now looks great.
We
thank you for your interest in our vintage restored
dolls and please feel free to ask us anything we may not
have touched on. We do try to remember every
detail but some things may go unmentioned but not
intentionally. God Bless
